Status symbols

Your tablet displays a number of small pictures, or icons, known as status symbols. These provide important information at a glance, such as:

Battery: This symbol shows your current battery level.

Reception bars

A stronger connection means your internet speed will be improved. It also means you can call and video chat more easily.

Some areas do not receive mobile coverage. These are known as black spots. When you are in a black spot you will be unable to see any reception bars, use the internet, make calls or video chat.

Network provider

You will see your mobile tablet network provider's name here.

3G/4G/5G/LTE

These symbols show that your tablet is connected to mobile data, which means you can use the internet.

These symbols may change automatically depending on the strength of your mobile network connection.

Wi-Fi

When this symbol is showing, it means you are connected to Wi-Fi and not using your mobile data.

Some public places offer free Wi-Fi services, but you should only connect to them if it's a company or network you trust.

These free Wi-Fi services may not be secure and shouldn't be used for personal information.

Date and time

When your tablet is locked, the date and time will display.

Notifications

When your tablet receives messages or other updates, notification alerts will appear on screen.

Congratulations!
