Services we offer at South LA Community Tech Support Resource Center
We provide in-person and remote Basic Computer and digital skills classes needed to perform tasks on computers and online. Our online self-guided modules assess the ability of individuals to perform tasks based on these skills. Included are basic computer digital literacy standards and modules in three main areas:
Essential Computer Skills - Basic Computer Skills, Internet Basics, Using Email, Windows OS, Mac OS
Essential Software Skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs
Using Technology in Daily Life - Social Media, Information Literacy, Career Search Skills, Accessing Telehealth Appointments, Supporting K-12 Distance Learning, Your Digital Footprint.
We provide printing services, making copies, scanning documents etc.
We provide free community tech support services where we answer any tech related questions our community members might have and show them how to use their devices as well.
We provide free or low-cost computer repair services to all members in our community.
We provide e-waste recycling services so our community members can responsibly dispose off their old electronics.
We give free or low cost refurbished computers, phones & tablets that we collect throught our e-waste recycling services to low-income individuals, students and their families (find out about our eligibility requirements).
We provide free or low cost in-home setup Wi-Fi setup and support to low income families, the elderly, veterans who already have internet service in their home.
Our resource center is used Community Navigation and Meetings Center for homeless, veterans and general community gatherings.
Free shower Access for our unhoused community members.
