A SIM card is a small piece of plastic that contains the data needed for a mobile data connection. You need a SIM card to make and receive calls and video chats from your tablet.
You can purchase a SIM card from your network provider or local supermarket.
Your SIM card will come in a plastic template.
You will notice the template has three different sized SIM cards to choose from. You will first need to identify which size SIM card you need, before removing it from the template.
To identify which size SIM card you need, you will first need to find the SIM Tray.
The SIM Tray is a small drawer that slots into the side of the tablet and is designed to hold your SIM card.
To find the right size SIM for your tablet, you will first need to remove this SIM Tray.
To remove your SIM Tray from your tablet, you will need your SIM Ejector Tool.
To eject the tray, take your SIM Ejector Tool, and push the fine needle point gently into the hole. The tray will pop out.
Look at the tray and see which size SIM card fits. If you are unsure, place the tray over the top of your SIM card as a guide.
Once you have identified the correct SIM card size, carefully remove it from the plastic template it arrived in.
Place your SIM card carefully into the SIM Tray, with the gold chip facing down. A correctly placed SIM card should sit nicely in the SIM Tray.
If your SIM card doesn’t fit exactly, check you have the correct size SIM, and that it is placed correctly in the tray.
Take care not to force or bend your SIM card or tray.
Once your SIM card has been placed into the tray and is sitting flush, gently push the SIM Tray back into your tablet.
If the tray resists going back in, check the SIM card is placed correctly in the tray and try again.
You’ve completed the SIM card activity.
