Zoom is an application, or an app, that many people use to make video or voice calls through the internet. A video or voice call in Zoom is usually called a meeting.
Zoom lets you see and hear the other people in the meeting. You can have a Zoom meeting with one other person or with a big group. Some people use Zoom for work and some use it to stay connected to friends and family.
What do you want to use Zoom for?
We'll use step-by-step instructions to teach you some skills. It will be easiest to learn everything in this course if you try each step yourself as you go through it.
Before you can use Zoom, you need to download the app on your computer or device.
When you download an app or a file on your device, all the information you need to open and use the app or file is saved on your device.
First, open a new tab in your web browser.
You can move between this tab and your new tab by clicking on the tab you want at the top of the web browser window.
In your new tab, click on the address bar. This is where we can type any website we want to go to. Type www.zoom.com/download. When you’re done, press Enter.
Here’s where you can download the Zoom app. Click on the Download button under “Zoom Client for Meetings.”
Then, find the download file that says ZoomInstaller.exe in your browser. It might be on the bottom left side of the web browser. Click on the download file to add Zoom to your computer. Wait a few seconds and Zoom will open.
